This course introduces students to the fascinating study of our planet and its dynamic systems using the CK-12 Middle School Earth Science FlexBook 2.0. Students will explore the structure of the Earth, the movement of its tectonic plates, and the natural forces that shape landforms and environments.

Throughout the course, learners will study rocks and minerals, volcanoes, earthquakes, weather, oceans, and climate, as well as Earth’s position in the solar system. The course also emphasizes human impact on the planet and ways we can protect our natural resources.

Using interactive lessons, videos, virtual labs, and projects, students will develop scientific thinking skills and a deeper understanding of how Earth’s processes connect and influence life on our planet.
